Applications are open for Summer 2023 Short-Term Research Experience for Under-Represented Persons (STEP-UP). STEP-UP Summer Interns Receive:
- Biomedical research experience during a 10-week seminar program
- Stipend available for all participants
- All expense-paid travel to present at the Annual STEP-UP Symposium at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, MD
- Year-round mentoring support and career development advice
Eligibility:
- U.S. citizen, non-citizen national, or legal resident
- College student with a 3.0 or higher GPA in a STEM major
- Individuals from an underrepresented racial/ethnic group, with a disability, or from a disadvantaged background
