Research Opportunities

Research Postings from Faculty

The OUR periodically receives postings from faculty who are looking for undergraduates to work on research projects. This is by no means an exhaustive list of opportunities on campus; and we encourage students to also check individual department websites for specific research funding opportunities, listings, and resources related to your area of interest.

WashU Summer Research Programs

A list of summer research programs at Washington University that provide funding in the form of an award, fellowship, or stipend can be found below. Please note this is not an all-inclusive list. Many students work as research assistants for faculty members and are often compensated by grants awarded to the Professor. In addition, the OUR provides funding for independent faculty-mentored research through Summer Undergraduate Research Awards. Information about other summer opportunities including stipends for unpaid internships and residential life employment opportunities are available through Student Affairs.

Non-WashU Research Opportunities

Do you want to conduct research away from WashU, either independently or through another institution or short-term program? The OUR has collected a list of a handful of national databases and specific opportunities that you can peruse. Please note that this is not an exhaustive list, but a good place to start your search.
