WRAP Event: Research Speed Dating

Practice pitching your research project!

Being able to summarize your research in an accessible way is one of the most important parts of being a researcher and shows understanding over your project. Like anything, talking about your project is a skill that needs to be practiced. At Research Speed Dating, hosted by the WashU Research Ambassador Program, come practice talking about your work and answering questions about it, and also hear about the exciting work other students are doing.

We’ll kick things off with pizza (RSVP to help us plan) and a short guide on making your research accessible. Then, we’ll move into speed dating rounds where you’ll group up to practice summarizing your research and asking and answering questions from students in and out of your discipline. This is a great chance to:

  • Refine your "one-minute elevator pitch."
  • Meet other students doing exciting work.
  • Get comfortable answering questions about your research.
  • Enjoy free pizza!
