Corteva Agriscience, a global agriculture company focused on developing advanced agricultural technology to solve the biggest challenges in modern farming and make the world more food-secure, invites students to apply for the DELTA Symposium.
DELTA strives to encourage inclusivity in science careers, including opportunities for underrepresented groups. This program is part of our effort to provide equitable growth and development opportunities and drive Corteva’s Inclusion, Diversity & Equity (ID&E) vision of nurturing a strong, diverse talent pipeline.
The upcoming symposium will take place on September 24-26, 2024, at our Johnston, Iowa facility and is led by members of the Research and Development (R&D) team.
Selected candidates will have the opportunity to attend the symposium, which consists of:
- Insights into Corteva’s mission, purpose and values
- An overview of careers in Corteva R&D including our biotechnology, seed product development, crop protection, regulatory & stewardship, biologicals, and farming solutions & digital groups
- Exclusive tours of Corteva’s state-of-the-art research facilities
- Networking opportunities with Corteva R&D Leadership, scientists, and members of our Business Resource Groups (BRGs)
- An opportunity for participants to present their research and interview with Corteva scientists, which may lead to future engagements including internships, mentorships, site visits to other Corteva locations, and employment*.
Participant Requirements
- Be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or be eligible to work in the U.S.*
- Be currently enrolled in a US-accredited program as an undergraduate or graduate student (master’s or doctoral). Post-docs within two years of completing their dissertation are also eligible to apply.
- Demonstrate strong academic excellence with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- All applicants will be required to submit a reference letter
Ideal participants should have an interest in pursuing a career in industry, but prior experience in agriculture is not required. Preferred disciplines include: Agronomy, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biology, Data and Computer Science, Entomology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Material Sciences, Organic Chemistry, Plant Breeding, Plant Pathology, Weed or Soil Sciences, Related Disciplines
