You’ve finished your research (or almost)—now what?
The Office of Undergraduate Research can help you get your research out there.
Present your research:
We sponsor the Undergraduate Research Symposium in the fall and spring, giving students the opportunity to showcase their research in a supportive, multi-disciplinary setting. If you are interested in presenting your work at a conference in your discipline, you may apply for funding with a Conference Travel Award. Whenever you need help condensing your research into an abstract, an article or a poster, the OUR can help.
Publish your research:
The OUR publishes full-length student articles and abstracts in the Washington University Undergraduate Research Digest (WUURD). If you are writing a senior honors thesis, you can submit an abstract of your thesis for publication in Washington University Senior Honors Thesis Abstracts (WUSHTA). You can also upload your thesis, symposium poster, or other presentation to the Open Scholarship repository, a service of the Washington University in St. Louis libraries providing free access to the scholarly output of the university. Many other publishing opportunities are available at Wash U and elsewhere.
