The Palanca laboratory is seeking one or two motivated part-time students for assistance in analysis and data acquisition. We investigate altered states of consciousness in the clinical setting, including sleep, anesthesia, and delirium. Engineering background, technical bent, and programming experience with MATLAB are ideal. Freshman and sophomore applicants considering scientific careers are preferred. Please send your CV/resume to Ben Palanca, M.D., Ph.D.: firstname.lastname@example.org.
The OUR periodically receives postings from faculty who are looking for undergraduates to work on research projects. These opportunities are listed on our home page and may also be found here. This is by no means an exhaustive list of opportunities on campus.
Additionally, students can refer to the list of departmental websites which highlight undergraduate research opportunities. For departments not listed, students should look at faculty and staff listings in individual departments for descriptions of research interests. We also maintain a list of other research opportunities not at Wash U. Again, this is not an exhaustive list but a good place to start.
Another important resource for students is CAREERlink, a service of Wash U's Career Center. Here you will find a searchable database for internships and other opportunities.
