WashU Pediatric Palliative Care Opportunity

Great Biology 265 or volunteer opportunity

The Pediatric Advanced Care Team (PACT) is the palliative care team at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Palliative Care seeks to provide a holistic approach to medical care for children with complex, often life shortening diseases by providing comfort and support to families to help children live as well as they can for as long as they can.

We are seeking a student worker interested in assisting with database management. The position will work with our team’s Coordinator and will primarily consist of transferring information from patient medical records to our online databank. This position is available immediately. Work times can be adjusted around class schedules. There are no minimum hours per week for volunteering. This is a part-time, temporary, non-benefited, student position.

For those students wishing to credit through enrollment in Biology 265, they will be able to shadow the palliative care team on rounds and in consultation, and attend our educational meetings. Please visit the Biology 265 Experience in the Life Sciences Medical Preceptorship listing for further details.
